Boeing revealed its first 787, or Dreamliner, to an audience of thousands, accompanied by a specially-composed theme tune on Sunday.

Boeing are rightfully proud of the Dreamliner; even rival manufacturer Airbus have congratulated Boeing on the 787, which promises travellers more affordable, comfortable and convenient travel and is more environmentally friendly too.

“Our journey began some six years ago when we knew we were on the cusp of delivering valuable new technologies that would make an economic difference to our airline customers,” said Mike Bair, vice president and general manager of the 787 program.

Around 600 orders have been placed with Boeing for the Dreamliner, from many different airlines including Air Berlin and Kuwait Airlines, who are keen to capitalise on the opportunity of cheaper, more comfortable and more environmentally-friendly long-haul flights.
